What these numbers are โ and are not. The government publishes one figure per pollutant per station, but does not state the
unit anywhere โ the dataset describes every field as text and its description merely
repeats its title. The values are consistent with either raw concentrations or CPCB's
sub-index scale, and carbon monoxide fits neither cleanly.
So this page shows each reading exactly as published and says which pollutant is highest. It
deliberately does not compute a single "AQI" number, because doing that from
the wrong interpretation would be wrong several times over while still looking believable.
Treat these as comparisons between places, not as absolute health thresholds.
